skates cutting people in nhl
So in the past two weeks 2 nhl players have been cut by a skate coming off the ice in hitting them. The 1st incident happened to florid apanthers player richard zednik who had a skate punture hit carotid artery nearly killing him. A few days later a player cut his eye but it wasnt major. These incidents are very severe and they have been rare up until now. This just shows the danger of sports and just how things can happen so randomly without warning. This is a key lesson that shows how we must be very careful during sporting events to ensure the safety of all the participants.

I was shocked by both of these accidents. There has been no one injured by being cut by a skate in years. Then this year within 2 weeks of each other we have 2 players injured. Its terrible but like you said it is a danger of the sport.. The players know the risks when they accept thier job.
